Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.Ā (Proverbs 31:10, KJV)
Your value as a mother is not predicated on your age, how many children you have, the number of things you can accomplish in a day, how much money you bring into your household, the number of degrees you hold or languages you speak, or how many church auxiliaries you sit on.
In the book of Proverbs, the Lord used the man of God to instruct children to ākeep thy fatherās commandments and forsake not the law of thy mother.ā God knew what he was doing when he designed the family unit to include a father and a mother.
In addition to providing for the basic needs of food, clothes, and shelter, you nurture, protect, counsel and instruct, observe and consider, lavish affection upon and correct. Even if your perception is that no one else believes that what you do is valuable, and for those times when you donāt see your own value, be persuaded by the word of the Lord that you are, indeed, precious beyond price.
